Simon Conn

Simon joined the Committee in 1999 and was appointed as Treasurer in 2000. Simon was Vice Chairman from 2008 and was elected Chairman in March 2018.

Prior to his appointment to the Committee Simon was the Westpac Business Manager for PRC providing financial assistance for the original Racers Taberet (now Cardinia Club).

Simon is the Owner and Managing Director of Pallet Control Australia Pty Ltd. The company has four offices in three states and employs 38 staff. Simon’s key responsibilities are the strategic management of the national operation, key account management and business growth and profitability.

Simon also spent 23 years with Westpac Bank where his roles included Branch, Business and Commercial Manager. Prior to this he spent 7 years self employed as a Finance Broker.

He is actively involved with Beaconhills Golf Club, currently serving on the ‘Future’ Committee and is the Treasurer of the Upper Beaconsfield RSL. Simon also served on the Upper Beaconsfield Cricket Club Committee.

Simon’s emphasis is ensuring the Club is financially resourced to continue to be able to develop the master plan. He believes the Pakenham Racing Club is more than just a racing club, it is a substantial large scale business with multiple business interests and significant expansion plans.
