Club Committee

Michael was elected to the Committee in 2002.

Michael has held a number of roles over the years bringing with him a diverse range of experience to the Committee. Michael is the sole Managing Director of John Duff & Co Pty Ltd, having been a Director since 1984.   He is a current member of the Caltex National Distributor Association having served as Chairman and Secretary in the past. John Duff & Co conducts petroleum wholesale distribution and retail sales operations through the Gippsland Region employing over 80 local people in this process.

Michael has spent over 12 years as a Board Member of the Bendigo Community Bank and is currently the Chairman of Directors. 

Michael, with the active support of this Committee and Club officials, organises and attracts sponsors and supports a number of community initiatives with the Club. Michael has experience serving on other boards including as a Committee Member and Past President of the Koo Wee Rup Business Association. Michael is also the Chairman of the Koo Wee Rup Community Centre and Member of the Township Committee.

Michael is an active supporter of a number of community organisations. He has been a member of the Koo Wee Rup Fire Brigade (KWRFB) for over 30 years and has been on the KWRFB Executive Team for over 24 of them. He was Captain from 2002-2010.

Living locally in Koo Wee Rup, Michael is very passionate about the local community. In conjunction with his business and banking experience Michael has played a large part in the development of the Cardinia Club and Club Officer.

Michael’s key focus is to use his skills to build stronger relationships with our key corporate partners and sponsors and maintain strong corporate governance practices.
